Languages Week

This week, we will celebrate Languages Week.  Students in Years 1 to 6 will participate in a range of activities that celebrate the different languages spoken at our school. 

Activities include our daily ‘Guess the Language’ quiz; classes will listen to a recording of a student speaking in their home language and be shown a written phrase in a second language that they have to guess.  

Student may also join in with a lunchtime Madeline Scavenger Hunt that will be placed on the windows around the library. Year 3 to 6 students will need to translate these clues to complete an identity card for Madeline. Completed cards are placed in the ‘finish’ box. At the end of the week, 5 winners will be drawn from the box to receive a prize.
