2026 Pre-primary to Year 6 Class Placements

Parents will receive an email informing them of their child/children’s 2026 class placement on the afternoon of Tuesday, 2 December. Students will meet their 2026 class teacher on Tuesday, 9 December, when we will hold our pre-primary to Year 6 transition morning.

Reading Achievement Assembly

All students should be recording home reading in their Reading Logs at least four times each week.
Before bringing their Reading Logs to school to be checked by their teacher each Monday, it is their responsibility to update the total number of days they have recorded this year.

Home reading milestones are recognised at either a classroom or school level throughout the year.

• 10 days – 1 Gold tokens from the class teacher
• 50 days – 5 Gold tokens from the class teacher
• 100 days – a Certificate of Achievement from the principal (and 10 Gold tokens)
• 150 days – a Certificate of Excellence from the principal (and 15 Goldi tokens)
• 200 days – a Remarkable Reader Certificate and pin from the principal

Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend.

Reading Recognition Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, 3 December.

Open day for the Year 5 students to host peers and parents and showcase their Caine's Arcade creations in Term 4 in Under Cover Area.

Senior Assembly - The arts

Our Art students are presenting today's Senior Assembly. 

Assembly starts at 8:30am in the Undercover Area. 

Parents and carers are welcome to attend. 

High School Simulation Day (Year 6 students)

Today, our Year 6 students will participate in a “high school simulation day”, where they will experience what a day in high school can feel like. The core experiences the day will target is: 

• Reading timetables 
• Time management- being prepared, working productively and transitioning in an effective manner 
• Self-management- collecting and managing all resources needed for the day- books, pencil cases, bags etc… 
• Navigating a school map and locating classrooms across a school’s campus 
• Social skills and manners- adapting to changing classroom teachers and peers for each subject 

The students will be provided with a timetable on the Friday morning after the assembly and will participate in their lessons in various rooms around the school. 

Icy Poles for Sale (Lunch time)

On Friday, Kindergarten to Year 6 students may bring $1 to purchase an icy pole at lunchtime.  All proceeds go to the 2026, Year 6 camp. 

As well as a fundraiser, this is also an opportunity for students to learn money skills.  Students are responsible for taking care of their $1 and lining up to make their lunchtime purchase. 

Icy Poles will be on sale each Friday at lunchtime in the Undercover Area.
