2027 Pre-primary to Year 6 Class Placements

Parents will receive an email informing them of their child/children’s 2026 class placement on the afternoon of Tuesday, 1 December. Students will meet their 2027 class teacher on Tuesday, 8 December, when we will hold our Pre-primary to Year 6 transition morning.

Year 5 Caine’s Arcade Presentation

Year 5 students have been creating an arcade-style game from boxes this term, as part of their Technologies learning.

This learning is inspired by a true story, where Caine went to work with his dad in the Summer at their auto parts store. To keep himself entertained, he created his own arcade out of cardboard shipping boxes, and the rest is history! 

Today, our Year 5 students will host their peers and parents, and showcase their Caine's Arcade creations in the Under Cover Area. 

Invited classes will have a chance to view the different creations at a designated time before lunch. 

Then, from 1:30pm, Year 5 parents will be able to view the various creations. 

High School Simulation Day (Year 6 students)

Today, our Year 6 students will participate in a “high school simulation day”, where they will experience what a day in high school can feel like. The core experiences the day will target is: 

• Reading timetables 
• Time management- being prepared, working productively and transitioning in an effective manner 
• Self-management- collecting and managing all resources needed for the day- books, pencil cases, bags etc… 
• Navigating a school map and locating classrooms across a school’s campus 
• Social skills and manners- adapting to changing classroom teachers and peers for each subject 

The students will be provided with a timetable on the Friday morning after the assembly and will participate in their lessons in various rooms around the school.

Senior Assembly - The arts

Our Art students are presenting today's Senior Assembly. 

Assembly starts at 8:30am in the Undercover Area. 

Parents and carers are welcome to attend. 

Colour Run (P&C fundraiser)

P&C Colour Run (major fundraiser)

Our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) will hold their major fundraiser on Friday, 4 December.  

More details will be advised closed to the day.

On the day, students will wear a white shirt and run around the oval whilst being “coloured” by our staff and P&C volunteers.

Timing to be confirmed closer to the date.

• Kindergarten (A&B) and Pre-primary run 1:00 pm – 1:20 pm
• Year 1 to Year 3 run 1:25 pm – 1:55 pm
• Year 4 to Year 6 run 1:55 pm – 2:25 pm

Kindergarten A students are also invited to attend.  Parents who wish to bring their Kindy A children to the oval for the 1- to 1:20 pm session.

Icy Poles for Sale (Lunch time)

Piara Waters Primary School

On Friday, Kindergarten to Year 6 students may bring $1 to purchase an icy pole at lunchtime.  All proceeds go to the 2027, Year 6 camp. 

As well as a fundraiser, this is also an opportunity for students to learn money skills.  Students are responsible for taking care of their $1 and lining up to make their lunchtime purchase. 

Icy Poles will be on sale each Friday at lunchtime in the Undercover Area.
