All students should be recording home reading in their Reading Logs at least four times each week.
Before bringing their Reading Logs to school to be checked by their teacher each Monday, it is their responsibility to update the total number of days they have recorded this year.
Home reading milestones are recognised at either a classroom or school level throughout the year.
- 10 days – 1 Gold tokens from the class teacher
- 50 days – 5 Gold tokens from the class teacher
- 100 days – a Certificate of Achievement from the principal (and 10 Gold tokens)
- 150 days – a Certificate of Excellence from the principal (and 15 Gold tokens)
- 200 days – a Remarkable Reader Certificate and pin from the principal
Reading Recognition Ceremonies will be held on Wednesday, 27 May and Wednesday, 1 July from 2:00pm – 2:30pm in the library. Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend.

Western Australia Day or simply WA Day is a public holiday in Western Australia, celebrated on the first Monday in June each year to commemorate the founding of the Swan River Colony in 1829.
